Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Lauren Powell is a Los Angeles–based professional dancer and Cardiothoracic ICU nurse. She has trained in jazz, ballet, contemporary, tap, hip-hop, and musical theater since childhood, later continuing her dance education at the University of Arizona. While earning her BSN, Lauren remained active as both a performer and choreographer with U of A Concert Dance and Black N’ Blue Hip Hop Crew.

After graduating, Lauren moved to LA to pursue dance professionally with Royal Flux Dance Company, directed by Jaci Royal. She has assisted choreography for NBC’s World of Dance, performed in numerous live shows and video projects, and traveled with LA Dance Magic, 24/7 Dance Convention, and Erice Danza in Italy.

Outside of the studio and hospital, Lauren enjoys acro yoga, travel, fitness, and music. She is honored and thrilled to continue her dance journey with the Los Angeles Jazz Company alongside such inspiring artists.
