COMMUNITY
COMMUNITY
At Los Angeles Jazz Company, community isn’t an add-on— it’s the heartbeat of everything we do. Jazz dance was built in community: in shared spaces, lived experiences, and collective expression. We believe that for the art form to grow, it must remain accessible, generous, and deeply connected to the people it serves.
LAJC is committed to building a sustainable, artist-driven ecosystem- one that gives back as much as it creates. Through education, outreach, and meaningful partnerships, we aim to make dance not only something to watch, but something to belong to.
Each month, we offer free master dance classes open to the Los Angeles community creating space for dancers of all backgrounds to train, connect, and be inspired at no cost.
We at the Los Angeles Jazz Company are proud to partner with Dancers Against Cancer, a nonprofit dedicated to providing financial assistance and emotional support to members of the dance community impacted by cancer, aligning our artistic mission with advocacy and care.
Beyond the studio, LAJC is actively engaged in lectures, seminars, workshops, and school performances, bringing jazz dance into educational settings and fostering conversations around history, artistry, and the future of the form. Whether onstage, in a classroom, or within our local neighborhoods, we are passionate about using dance as a tool for connection, education, and collective impact.
Because when community thrives, the art thrives- and we’re here for both.
